Burnaby celebrates the nation’s birthday

The city of Burnaby is hosting at least three Canada Day celebrations next month.

Edmonds Plaza and Park will be hosting a family-friendly festival from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM. There will be lots of fun activities, including face painting, arts and crafts, and bingo. There will also be musical and multicultural entertainment, and cake for everyone. Call 604-294-7944 to learn more.

Burnaby Village Museum will also be holding its annual Canada Day celebration from 11:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There is set to be a parade, multicultural performances including First Nation dancers and musical entertainment. There will also be a vintage cars display and cupcakes. For the most current information, call 604-297-4565.

The last one is an evening celebration which will be held at Swangard Stadium from 5:00 to 10:00 PM. It will feature various family-friendly activities, local vendors and a free concert. The evening will end with a fireworks display that will begin at dusk. For more information, call the City of Burnaby at 604-294-7944.

It is likely that organizers of these three events will be working with a Burnaby printing company to invest in flyer printing services. Flyers can then be quickly and inexpensively distributed in the community, often as newspaper inserts.

No doubt many families will be taking time to take part in at least one of the celebrations for Canada’s 151st birthday.
