Burnaby camp day on offer for families living with juvenile arthritis

August 5, 2018 by

Burnaby’s Delta Hotels by Marriot has been chosen as the location for a special event that will give families living with juvenile arthritis a chance to network, share stories, and just have a good time together.

Kids and their families who come to the Juvenile Arthritis Family day will be able to learn from experts, meet others who know what they are going through, and be themselves in a supportive environment. Parents, caregivers and also siblings are all welcome, and the fun is being offered free of charge.

The adults and teens in the crowd can meet with experts in the field of auto-inflammatory disease, and there will be age-appropriate programming for the younger guests as well. Special rates for the hotel are available, and travel bursaries can be accessed by those who require monetary assistance to attend the event.

This day, which will run from 7:30 am until 4:30 pm, has been organized by Cassie + Friends Society, which is a group dedicated to helping kids living with a rheumatic disease. Swag, such as promotional pens, T-shirts, note pads, and other items, can be prepared for a large event like this by a printer.

October 13 has been chosen as the date for this special occasion. More information can be found by visiting the organizer’s Facebook page.
