Brain strengthening information session to be held in Burnaby

October 13, 2016 by

A facility in Burnaby that offers support for those who have suffered a concussion or other traumatic brain injury will be hosting an information session and tour of its newly acquired classroom space.

The Watson Centre for Brain Health will provide those who take part with details about the services it provides, such as helping those who have a head injury strengthen their brain after the injury. The Arrowsmith Program will be discussed by Josh Poirier and Mark Watson, who will provide information about how it can help them live a more independent life.

In addition to this, they will be presenting the details of a pilot project that lasted for a period of nine months and investigated the effects of brain training. A tour of the facility’s new classroom space at Fortius Sport of Health will also be included in the evening. A brochure printing company can work with the organizers of an event such as this to create pamphlets and other promotional materials for distribution to all those who come out.

The information session will be held on November 17, running form 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Fortius Sport and Health, located at 3713 Kensington Avenue in Burnaby. Registration for the event is free of charge.

More details about the evening and an opportunity to sign up to participate are available on the website that has been set up for the session.
