Art festival showcases local artisans

For the first time this year, it will also be an agri-culture festival.

This is a juried art show and sale, which is set to feature the works of 21 local and regional artists. They will be selling such items as mixed media, pottery, sculpture and woodcut printings. Two of the featured artists are Milton’s own Quinn Cruise and Chazzly Johanna.

The festival is also set to provide tours of the heritage buildings on site and exhibits that will feature the history and future of agriculture. It is likely that these exhibits will feature a display of vintage farm equipment and tools.

There will also be food tastings from local restaurants and caterers, musical entertainment, a paper mache garden and a quilt display.

This annual event is a good opportunity for these local artists to make their names known to the public and to possibly find new commissions in the future.

Some of the artists participating in this Milton event may invest in business card printing services in advance so they can hand out their cards.

Art in the Park will be held at Country Heritage Park on August 12 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Admission is $5 per person. For more information about this event, call 905-878-8151.
