Art auction on the slate for Mississauga

Art lovers from Mississauga may wish to mark their calendars for an event that will help the Art Gallery of Mississauga move into the future as a dynamic institution that supports the local artistic community.

The gallery has planned a benefit auction, which will also showcase the talents of area artists. The proceeds will aid in meeting the costs of its initiatives, especially those that focus on children and youth.

The auction, which is being brought to the community through the assistance of its sponsors, including Square One, will open with cocktails and hors d’oeuvres and a chance for the guests to soak in the atmosphere of the occasion. Live entertainment will keep the crowd entertained, and the organizers have billed it as the largest auction the gallery has ever held.

More than 40 works of art will be up for bids, and these will have been created by both up and coming and established artists. The auction will be live, and the doors will open at 7:00 pm. It will be held in Square One Shopping Centre, and both VIP and general ticketing options are available.

This event in support of the community’s artistic side will be held on April 28. Anyone who would like additional information about the occasion and how to purchase tickets to attend can find this on the gallery’s website.
