Annual studio tour returns to Delta

September 18, 2017 by

The 4th annual Delta Studio Stomp is taking place very soon, presented by Firehall Centre for the Arts.

Over 20 artists will be opening their studios and workplaces to the public, showcasing their works in such genres as drawings, paintings, printmaking and ceramics, as well as many other categories of art. Many of them will be selling their works, and proceeds will be donated to the Delta Hospital Foundation.

Among some of the venues that will be hosting the artists are the North Delta Recreation Centre and Watershed Artworks. Participating artists include Barbara Roden, Bev Mason, and Dave Stevens.

Members of the public can pick up a ‘Stomp’ passport that they can get stamped at each venue they visit, and be put into a draw to win prizes.

This is a popular annual event that won the 2016 Special Events and Tourism Award, presented by the Delta Chamber of Commerce and the Delta Visitor Centre. The maps provide for this fun Delta event are the sort of items that may be obtained from a local printing company.

The Delta Studio Stomp will be held this weekend, September 23 to 24. Admission to all venues is free of charge. Contact the Firehall Centre for the Arts at 604-588-8648 to learn more about which studios are participating and how to obtain maps.
