Annual music festival to attract international stars

July 28, 2015 by

The Regina Folk Festival is returning to the city this August for three days.

The festival regularly attracts world famous musicians and this year will be no different. Among the acts that will be appearing at the festival on four stages are Sinead O’Connor, The Sheepdogs, Blue Rodeo, and Vance Joy. There will be artists in a variety of genres that should appeal to every member of the family, regardless of their age or interest.

In addition to the musical entertainment, there will be an arts market, a food court, a rock garden, and a record store. The children’s area will have music, dancing and craft tents. Kids can learn rodeo skills and can have their faces painted for $3 or $5. For the adults, there will be a beer garden and workshops in a variety of topics.

Many of those selling their works in the arts market might contact their favorite Regina printing company to invest in sign or banner printing services. This may bring more attention to their booths and result in more sales.

The Regina Folk Festival will be held at Victoria Park from August 7 to 9. Admission is $60 for Friday and $65 for Saturday or Sunday. Weekend passes are available for $114 for adults and $103 for seniors and students. Call 306-757-0308 to get the latest information on this event.
