Annual expo provides information to area seniors

The Living Well Expo is taking place in Kitchener next month, presented by the Mayor’s Advisory Council for Kitchener Seniors.

The event is aimed at those aged 55 and over, their family and their caregivers, and over 40 exhibitors are expected to be on hand. This will include local organizations that provide programs and services for seniors, government representatives and groups such as the Canadian Council for the Blind. They will likely be handing out freebies and business cards to those guests who stop by their booths.

There will be various demonstrations held throughout the day and a number of guest speakers covering topics of interest to seniors.

The Kitchener Senior of the Year Award will also be presented at 11:00 AM.

Admission to this event is free and the first 300 people through the door will receive a free tote bag likely stuffed with information and freebies.

The items placed in the tote bag will no doubt be provided by the exhibitors. A Kitchener printer can provide them with promotional products such as pens and fridge magnets to distribute at the event.

The Living Well Expo will be held at the Kitchener City Hall Rotunda on May 26 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. To find out more about the day, contact Carolyn Cormier at 519-741-2200 x5345.
