Annual dinner honors those who make Hamilton great

October 18, 2018 by

The 35th annual Hamilton Gallery of Distinction Awards dinner is taking place next month.

A presentation of the Hamilton Chamber of Commerce, the evening will start off with a reception where guests can mingle with the gallery inductees as well as their business and community peers. It will then be followed by a dinner and the awards ceremony.

There are six inductees that will be honored, all of whom are individuals who have made a significant contribution to their community. The inductees are Sandra Bald Jones (who is a well-known Highland dance teacher), Paralympian Hilda May Binns, philanthropists and volunteers Robert and Margaret Carr, Dr. Jean Clinton of McMaster Children’s Hospital, Dr. David Levy from the David Braley Sport Medicine and Rehab Centre, and Yvonne Maracle, who is founder of the National Indian/Inuit Photographer’s Association. The Gallery of Distinction is located at Hamilton Central Library and features winners portrait and biography.

This event brings out many Hamilton business and community leaders. No doubt many of them will be bringing along their business cards to hand out to those they meet during the evening.

The Gallery of Distinction Awards dinner will be held at the Michelangelo Events and Conference Centre on November 13, beginning at 5:30 PM. Tickets are $97.50 and tables for 10 are available. Contact Whitney Eames at 905-522-1151 x100 for more information.
