Afternoon of springtime fun on offer in Calgary

May 3, 2018 by

This spring, a Calgary event will bring the community together to have fun and get to know one another while they raise funds to help families who are experiencing a medical crisis.

The host for the afternoon will be Marda Loop Community Center, and there will be many activities on offer. The proceeds will be donated to Give A Mile, which is a group that helps make it possible for families to be united with one of its members who is in palliative care or is critically ill.

Those who come out to join in the excitement of the day will be able to have a pony ride, visit the animals in the petting zoo, have their faces painted and spend some time in the bounce house. A mini putt, duck pond, bubble blowing station, ring the bell and personalized balloons will be just some of the other activities that will be set up, and a photo booth will also be on site.

Anyone who would like a bite to eat can purchase a snack and drink, and each child will receive a free candy bag, and can also buy a selection from the candy truck. Early bird tickets start at $15 each. To help make an occasion like this even more special, the services of a local banner printing company can be employed.

This fundraiser and show of community spirit will be held on June 3 at 3130 16 Street Southwest. The Give A Mile Facebook page can be consulted for more information.
