Abbotsford to show its love for lavender

July 11, 2017 by

Abbotsford folks who enjoy the beauty of a garden on a summer afternoon may wish to make plans to visit a local farm during either of two upcoming open houses.

Tuscan Farm Gardens will be hosting an open house, and all are welcome to explore this working lavender production site. It is under new ownership, and there is no charge to pay a visit.

Guests will be able to stroll through the gardens, enjoy a freshly prepared treat, and browse and shop for handmade products that have been crafted using this aromatic flower. A local printer can supply branded labels and other products for use by a small business such as this.

Those who plan on coming out to find out more about what Tuscan Farm Gardens has to offer are asked to leave their pets at home. Lavender is not the only plant that is grown on site using organic methods, and the public will have an opportunity to find out more about how they can adapt these horticultural practices for use in their own backyard or balcony plantings.

The open houses will take place on both July 22 and August 19 at Tuscan Farm Garden, which can be found at 6834 Lehman Road in Abbotsford. Anyone who would like to find out more can visit its website for additional details.
