Abbotsford event to help give prostate cancer the boot

Abbotsford car buffs will soon have an opportunity to lend their support to the fight against prostate cancer during the Ride to Live Show and Shine, which has been planned for a local parking area.

The event, which will take place at the University of the Fraser Valley’s King Road Campus, will include more than 200 different vehicles, all of which will be on display for the public to view. As they stroll through the cars, trucks, and other entries, they can enjoy the live musical performances and fill up at the pancake breakfast and barbecue-style lunch. There will be 14 separate classes for the vehicles to enter, and according to the organizers, they have planned for it to be fun for everyone.

All of the monies raised during the show and shine will be utilized to help provide support and services to individuals and families living with prostate cancer, as well as to help educate the public about the disease. It will also be used to help fund research to find a cure. Wide format printing can be called upon to create banners and other decorations that can be used during an outdoor function such as this.

May 28 has been selected as the day for the Ride to Live Classic Car Show and Shine and Year End Celebration. More information can be obtained on the Hello BC website.
