St. Catharines fundraiser to help those in need

This March, St. Catharines’ 14th annual Empty Bowls Fundraiser will be serving up bowls of steaming hot soup prepared by some of the community’s top chefs.

The public is invited to purchase a bowl, and while they enjoy their meal, they can feel good knowing they are helping their neighbors in need.

The soup will be served to the ticket holders in pottery bowls, each of which will be a unique creation crafted by an area potter. At the end of the function, everyone who purchased a ticket will be taking their bowl home with them to use in their own kitchen.

Along with the soup, the menu for the occasion includes locally sourced beer and wine, as well as tea, fresh bread and butter, and an assortment of desserts. The organizers remarked that the selection of sweets will be even more extensive than in previous years, and there will be lots of opportunities for the guests to mingle and enjoy one another’s company.

A VIP ticket option is on offer for anyone who would like to enjoy a more in-depth experience. They can meet the sponsors and other VIP guests, and they will also be treated to appetizers and priority seating. Pop -p banners and other reusable promotional products can be used during an event like this, and since they can be used year after year, they represent a budget-friendly option.

This year’s Empty Bowls fundraiser is being organized for Club Roma, and it will be taking place on March 6. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time, starting at $75 each.
