‘Wonton’ opportunity to make Chinese soup?

November 29, 2018 by

Residents of Vancouver who enjoy warming up with a hot bowl of wonton soup will soon be able to learn how they can prepare it for themselves, right in their own home.

Along with learning how to make this popular dish, they will also discover how they can add some basic Chinese phrases and words to their vocabulary,

The students in the class will be taught about the process of making wonton soup, right from its base of a seasoned bone broth. They will also learn how to prepare the noodles and shrimp filling, and each of the pupils will be able to wrap their own.

Once the soups are ready to eat, the attendees will be able to enjoy the fruits of their labours, which will be served with vegetables tossed with TrueNOSH’s own oyster sauce. While they work, they will learn some phrases in Cantonese, Mandarin and also Pinyin, which is commonly used for texting.

A class like this can attract those who like to cook, who want to eat healthy food or who are simply looking for a chance to try a new activity. Laminated recipe cards prepared by area print shops can be given to each student so that they can make the dishes at home on their own.

The ticket price for this culinary experience, which will be offered on February 8, is $55. It will be offered at 2200 Ontario Street in Vancouver.
