Local museum to host exhibit closing party

November 24, 2018 by

A century ago, the war in Europe drew to a close. An exhibit at the St. Catharines Museum that paid homage to this event will be closing at the end of the month, and a celebration that will capture the spirit of the day has been planned for the public to enjoy.

The party will have a theme that will offer a taste of the early 20th Century. It will include decor inspired by that era, and there will be lots of activities that can make the guests feel as if they have taken a step back in time.

When they arrive at the venue, the attendees will be greeted by cheerful tunes from a jazz band, and this will be accompanied by demonstrations of dance and other performances. Locally brewed beers, wine, and craft sodas will be poured, and when they head to the dessert bar, the guests will find a selection of treats inspired by the era.

Along with all of this, there will be characters in period costume, and those who attend the function are invited to dress in 1918 garb and enter the costume contest. A company that prints letterheads and other custom stationery will be able to supply personalized award certificates and other items for this sort of event.

This opportunity takes play next Friday, November 30. It is open to anyone who is at least 19 years of age, and tickets are $10 each.
