Calgary prepares for the holiday shopping season

October 11, 2018 by

Now that the first snowfall has fallen in Calgary, it is likely that many people are starting to think about the holiday season and what gifts they are going to buy for friends and family. Two upcoming sales will give them a head start on shopping.

The first event will be the Christmas in the Country Art Sale, which will take place over two weekends next month. There will be over 100 artists on hand to sell their works. The venue will be fully decorated for the holidays and guests will be served some seasonal treats. Admission is free of charge.

The next sale will be the 30th annual Dalplex Christmas Market to be held over three days. It will feature arts and crafts artisans from all over the Atlantic Region and the rest of the county who will be selling unique items suitable for gift giving. There will also be music, food and drink for purchase, and a rest area. A three-day pass is $5.

Calgary flyer printing firms often provide advertising materials to the organizers of such events.

The Christmas in the Country Art Sale will be held at Leighton Art Center from November 3-4 and 10-11. Call 403-931-3633 to learn more.

The Dalplex Christmas Market will take place at Dalhousie University from November 23-25. Call 902-494-3372 for more information.
