Annual deaf festival offers three days of entertainment

The Deaf Alberta Expo is taking place next month in Edmonton for three days.

The event will start off with a Paint Nite and Opening Ceremonies on September 13 from 5:30 to 11:00 PM. It will feature a painting workshop with

Paul Johnson, which is now sold out, speeches from event organizers, wine and cheese. Tickets are $15 each.

The next night will be Red Carpet Night. Guests will be treated to performances by local and international deaf performers including Magic Morgan; there will also be an Open Mic. They will also receive a free candy bar and door prizes. There will be a cash bar. Tickets are $20.

The event will close with the Deaf Gala Banquet on September 15 from 5:30 to 11:30. Guests will enjoy a catered dinner with wine. There will also be a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle and door prizes. A keynote speech will be delivered by Ryan Commerson and Magic Morgan will be performing his magic tricks. Tickets cost $85 for adults, $75 for seniors and $65 for children between the ages of 6 and 17.
