August 19, 2018 by

The New’Bark’et Festival is taking place in Newmarket next month for two days.

The festival will be filled with fun activities for dogs and their owners. The Pool Plunge will allow dogs to swim in the Gorman Outdoor Pool for $5 per dog.

The Aqua Dogs will be holding a dock diving competition. Registration is open to the public for $25 in advance or $30 on site. Each dog can participate in the Go Long, the Go Fetch or the Go High competitions.

There will also be a lure course hosted by Dog Lovers Days. The public is welcome to let their dogs participate.

A children’s area is set to feature inflatable bounce houses and face painting.

Vendors will also be on hand to sell a variety of dog-related merchandise such as food, toys, treats and clothing. Local community organizations such as pet rescue and humane societies will also be on hand. Vendors paid $120 for commercial booths or $60 for non-profit.

Newmarket print shops often provide flyers and other stationery products to advertise upcoming public events such as this.

The New’Bark’et Festival will be held at Lions Park on September 8 to 9 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day. Admission is free of charge. For more information about this event, contact the Town of Newmarket at 905-895-5193.
