Golf returns to Abbotsford this September

August 16, 2018 by

There are two golf tournaments taking place in the Abbotsford area next month that will help fund local organizations.

The first one will be the 31st annual Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament. Fees are $175 per person and include 18 holes of golf, the use of a golfing cart, a barbecue lunch and a buffet dinner. Also, there will be on-course contests such as longest drive. In addition, there is set to be a silent auction and raffles. Tickets for dinner only are $50 each. Proceeds will go towards Chamber of Commerce programs.

The next week will be the 4th annual University of Fraser Valley Open Golf Tournament and Dinner. Proceeds will be donated to the Alumni Changing Lives Bursary Endowment. Fees are $200 for each individual golfer and will include a gift for each participant, snacks and refreshments on the course and a steak dinner and reception. Tickets are $50 for the dinner and reception only.

Golf is a good networking opportunity so it is likely many of the Abbotsford golfers will be bringing their business cards with them.

The Abbotsford Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament will take place at the Ledgeview Golf and Country Club on September 7 from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Call 604-859-9651 to learn more.

The Alumni Open Golf Tournament will be held at Chilliwack Golf Club on September 14 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM. Contact Whitney Fordham at 604-557-4086 for more information.
