Grand exhibition of Chinese Canadian culture on offer in Mississauga

August 8, 2018 by

The Dragon and Lion dances are a tradition in China, and this year, they will also be performed in Mississauga’s Celebration Square as part of a special event.

The festival, which will showcase Chinese Canadian culture, will welcome all to a day of performances, prize draws, food, arts and crafts, and lots of other fun. It will begin at 3:00 pm, and run until 9:00 pm.

Lion and dragon dances, as well as demonstrations of Tai-Chi, Kung-Fu, dancing, singing and mass drumming routines, will all be staged for the entertainment of the crowd. The younger guests can head to the Children’s Centre, which will have arts and crafts stations set up. There will also be interactive displays and cultural activities, and the fun will be free.

This occasion has been organized through the efforts of The Mississauga Mandarin Association, the Kung Fu Canada Association and the Hebei Association of Canada. It will celebrate the vibrant culture of the Chinese Canadian community in Mississauga. A locally based printer can work with the organizers of an event like this to provide them with banner printing and other services.

The Dragon Lion Dance Festival will be taking place in Celebration Square on September 22. Anyone who would like to find out more about this special occasion has been asked to visit its online event listing.
