The TD Newmarket Music Festival is taking place for three days next month.

The festival will feature a number of local and regional musical artists in various genres. There will also be several workshops taking place over the three days.

Prior to the festival, there will be a kick-off party on August 19 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Market Brewing Company. It will feature entertainment from Pat Maloney, Kevin Foster, The One Man Band, and Black Suit Devil. For more information, contact Piers Simpkin at 905-906-2337.

The festival is set to feature concerts, visual arts displays, and a Creative Kids’ Zone. The Kids’ Zone will have activities such as arts and crafts, and several cartoon characters will make appearances.

Among those who are performing at this year’s festival are Lou Moore, Dani Strong, High Court and Country, and the After Hours Big Band.

No doubt a lot of Newmarket residents will be interested in attending at least one day of the festival. Organizers of such events often invest in flyer printing services to help spread the word.

The Newmarket Music Festival will be held at Riverwalk Commons from August 24 to 26. A weekend pass costs $20, or tickets are $5 for Friday night and $10 each on Saturday and Sunday. To learn more about the festival, contact George St. Kitts at 416-618-5487.
