Artisan fair returns for another year

The 21st annual Fairy Lake Artisan and Food Truck Festival will be taking place next month on Father’s Day weekend. It is presented by the North Newmarket Lions Club.

The two-day festival is a juried one that will feature a number of arts and crafts vendors selling items such as handmade jewelry, ceramics, photographs, paintings and clothing. There will also be a special area for food items like homemade jams, jellies, honey and dips. Vendor space is still available for $200 for a single and $300 for a double.

Several food trucks will also be on hand to sell meals, snacks and beverages. Fees for a food truck are $350.

In addition to the items for sale, there will be family-friendly activities and entertainment.

The festival is an opportunity for local artists to make a name for themselves in the community, and for the public to find unique products for their homes. Many of the vendors, most from Newmarket, will likely be handing out their business cards to people who stop by their booths.

The Fairy Lake Artisan and Food Truck Festival will be held at Fairy Lake Park in the Wesley Brooks Conservation Area from June 16 to 17 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM each day. Call 905-895-1441 for the latest information or to become a vendor.
