The 2nd annual Women’s Centre of York’s spring luncheon is taking place next month in nearby King City. It is a fundraiser for the Women’s Centre.

The theme of this year’s luncheon is ‘Balancing Act: the Holy Grail of Womanhood’ and it will feature several successful businesswomen. The keynote address will be delivered by Samantha King of Fempire Builders. Lexi and Amanda Benlolo, owners of the Pampered Pillowcase, will also be speaking.

Musical entertainment is set to be provided by singer/songwriter Bernadette Connors and the York Harmony Chorus. Several local vendors will be on hand to sell their products and/or services.

There will also be raffles, door prizes, a photo booth and a kids’ zone. Every guest will also receive a swag bag filled with promotional materials, coupons and samples. Sponsorships are available for $250 up to $1,500.

It is likely that the promotional items in the swag bags will be supplied by participating vendors, who will probably come from all around the area, including Newmarket. These promotional products may be provided by local printing companies.

The spring luncheon will be held at the Cardinal Golf Club on May 6 from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. Tickets are $40 for adults and $25 for children aged 12 and under; tables of eight are also available for $320. Contact Catherine Curtis at 905-853-9270 for more information.
