A vegan-themed pre-Valentines feast is on the way for Vancouver, and anyone who is interested in learning more about the city’s community chefs who focus on plant-based foods are welcome to attend.

Karen McAthy, who is an local chef, will be preparing an assortment of vegan tapas, and while they enjoy the offerings, the guests will have an opportunity to learn more about the various food service entrepreneurs who share her love of plant-based foods.

The tickets for the occasion include a full menu of tapas and other small bites, and also a selection of desserts. Cocktails, wine, craft beers and other beverages will be poured, and live entertainment will be on hand as well. There will be drawings for door prizes, and a market will be on site for the guests to browse through and buy any items that catch their interest.

Along with showcasing the products of the city’s vegan chef community, the meal will also serve as a fundraiser for the Society of the Advancement of Musicians. Two sittings are planned for the evening, and the tickets start at $75 each. Printed menus and other items for an occasion like this can be both designed and printed by an area printing services provider.

This salute to plant-based foods has been planned for February 9 in Heritage Hall. Anyone who needs more information is invited to contact the organizers through their Facebook listing.
