Calgary kids invited to party with some furry friends

The Calgary Humane Society has started offering an option for families looking for a new way to celebrate their son or daughter’s special day.

The organization will offer deluxe birthday packages that are stress free for parents. A facilitator will plan and supervise the celebrations, and lead the guests through a variety of activities that centre on helping animals in need.

During the parties, the participants will be able to make a craft, play games, and they will even get a tour of the shelter. A special animal guest will also stop by for a visit, and cake and other treats will be served. The only item that needs to be brought in is the cake.

According to the Calgary Humane Society, it helps more than 7,500 animals each year, and the monies raised through initiatives such as its birthday party program help to care for them. The parties run for approximately three hours each, and pizza, juice, decorations, activities and a special gift for the birthday boy or girl are included. Banners, loot bag items and other printed products that can help to make children’s events like this a real hit with its guests can be provided by a local printing company.

The cost for one of these furry friend-themed birthday celebrations starts at $295 each. Anyone who would like to find out more about the different options that are available can be found on the society’s website.
