A holiday tradition returns to Red Deer

The 24th Festival of Trees is taking place in Red Deer next month for four days. It is a fundraiser for the Red Deer Regional Health Foundation.

The event is set to kick off with a preview dinner and silent auction on November 22 from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. This is an invitation-only event for platinum to silver donors, during which guests will have the opportunity to view all of the trees on display.

The festival features dozens of trees decorated by both professionals and members of the public. There will also be shopping opportunities on Candy Cane Lane and Santa’s Sweet Shop. Guests can get lucky in Raffle Alley and can enjoy live entertainment.

There will be several special events taking place during the festival. The Festival Business Lunch will be held on November 23 and features a keynote speaker. Tickets are $62.50 or $500 for a table of eight. The Taste of Red Deer will be held on the same day from 6:00 to 9:00 PM. Entry is included in the admission price. Other events include the Festival of Wines and Breakfast with Santa.

This event has raised over $13m for the Health Foundation, and no doubt a Red Deer printing company will have provided printed invitations to ensure a successful event.

The Festival of Trees will be held from November 22 to 26 at Westerner Park. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children between the ages of 12 and 17, and $4 for those aged 4 to 11. Contact Alaine Martin at 403-406-5517 to learn more.
