Charity arts and crafts show happening in London

A local arts and crafts show in support of London and area residents living with multiple sclerosis (MS), is scheduled for later this month.

An opportunity to get Christmas shopping started while supporting sufferers of a debilitating disease, the event can be found at Van Luyk’s Greenhouses and Garden Centre in London later this month. This free arts and crafts show is open to residents of all ages.

Organized to provide some financial assistance to people in the community living with MS, all the funds raised will go directly to them. An unpredictable disease like MS can cause weakness, fatigue, vision and bladder problems, and mood changes. Sufferers describe the physical effects, but emphasize that there are also many emotional effects and financial consequences to living with the illness too.

The list of vendors scheduled to sell their products, services, or arts and crafts is already long, but booths are still available. An eight foot by three foot booth costs $35 to rent for the day, plus at least 10% of their sales must be donated to the MS Society. Vendors may also be featured on brochures and signs distributed during the event. Additional fees may apply if hydro or chairs are required.

The arts and crafts show will be open from 10:00am to 5:00pm on November 19. Van Luyk’s Greenhouses and Garden Centre is located at 1728 Gore Road in London.
