Fundraiser to send more kids to camp

The 30th Gala of Hope is taking place next month in Regina. Presented by the CO-OP Refinery and the Canadian Progress Club – Regina Centre, it is a fundraiser for Camp Circle O’ Friends.

The evening will start off with a cocktail reception where guests will receive a gift bag provided by sponsors. This will be followed by a plated dinner. During the event, there will also be silent and live auctions and a raffle drawing. In addition, a past camper or a family member will speak about what Camp Circle O’ Friends means to them.

This is the Camp Circle O’ Friends largest fundraiser of the year. It provides a summer camp for children between the ages of 6 and 18 who are living with cancer. The camp offers a getaway and also provides all the medical care they need from four staff nurses and a doctor, as well as support from camp counselors. Approximately 100 children a year get to take advantage of the camp.

No doubt organizers of this important Regina event will be distributing flyers and printed invitations to encourage people to attend.

The Gala of Hope will be held at the Conexus Arts Center on November 1, beginning at 6:00 PM. Tickets are $200 each, $1,500 for a table of eight, and $1,800 for a table of ten. Visit the event website for more information.
