Every day, professional florists in Toronto make the world a little bit more beautiful, and those in the field who would like to sharpen their design skills for weddings and other special events are invited to participate in a course that will help them to do just that.

The seven-day Wedding & Event Florist Program will teach both novice and experienced floral professionals alike techniques they can use to craft stunning bouquets and other items. An assortment of topics will be covered, including flower selection, how to handle and care for the living plants that will be a part of the design, making bridal bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres, vased designs, flower crowns, and editorial design.

Each student on the course will receive portfolio quality portraits of their creative efforts, and a representative of Bloom School will be facilitating the instruction. Binding can be utilized by a local printer to produce manuals and other materials for a course like this.

The course fee for this instruction has been set at $3,400, which covers the cost of the vessels, tools, and floral products that will be used. It is scheduled to begin on October 16, and anyone who interested in registering to participate, or who has questions about the content, has been asked to head to the school’s website.
