Annual fair returns to Regina this August

July 15, 2017 by

The Queen City Ex is returning to Regina for six days next month.

The fair is an annual tradition in the city and marks the highlight of the summer for many families.

The Ex kicks off with the Strawberry Social at Scarth Street Mall on August 1 from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM. This features strawberry shortcake and entertainment by Rory Allen. Proceeds will be donated to sporting events for people with special needs.

Later on, at 7:00 PM, is the Queen City Ex parade beginning at Dewdney Avenue and Cameron. This will be followed by fireworks at Wascana Park at dusk.

The next day the entire fair will open, and is set to feature a midway with rides and games. There will also be vendors, exhibitors, and musical entertainment. Some of those confirmed to appear at this year’s fair include Gord Bamford, Mother Earth and the Watchmen, and Brett Kissel.

There is also plenty for the kids including meet and greets with the PAW Patrol, Donatello and Leonardo of the Teenage Mutant Turtles, and Alvin and the Chipmunks.

Regina stationery printing companies are often asked to provide posters, brochures, and other printed advertising to help spread the word of events like this.

The Queen City Ex will be held at Evraz Place from August 1 to 6. Admission is $12 in advance at the door for adults and $8 for seniors and children. Call 306-737-3862 for current information.
