Celebrate Irish Dance in Sherwood Park

The 9th annual Mattierin Spring Feis will take place at Millenium Place from April 27-29. Admission is free and the festival is presented by the Emerald Isle Dancer’s Association.

Showcase goods at the Great Canadian Trade Fair and Sale

The Great Canadian Trade Fair and Sale will take place at Millennium Place from Friday - Saturday April 13-15. Admission is $3, and free for children five and under, seniors are admitted free on the Friday, April 13, from 1-5 pm. The event is a production of the Sherwood Park and District Chamber of Commerce.

Celebrate International Women’s Day in Sherwood Park

March 8 is International Women’s Day, a day in which women around the world are celebrated. There will be many celebrations throughout Canada on this important day; Sherwood Park will be holding several events to honour women leading up the day and after.

Enjoy Ice on Whyte

The 9th annual Ice on Whyte Ice Carving Festival will take place at the End of Steel Park in Edmonton from January 13-22. Admission is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children 2-12. The festival will be open weekdays from 2-10 pm and weekends from 10am-10pm.

Enjoy a family New Year’s Eve celebration in Sherwood Park

The whole family will want to go to the free celebrations at Broadmoor Lake Park, Festival Place, Sherwood Park Arena and the Community Centre on December 31. There will be lots of family-friendly activities taking place from 3-8 pm and it will all end with a fireworks display over Broadmoor Park.

Ring in the New Year at the West Edmonton Mall

The Edmonton International New Year’s Eve Gala will take place on December 31 from 7 pm-3 am. It will be held in the Beverly Hills Ballroom at the West Edmonton Mall. Tickets start at $135 per person; the prices will rise the closer it gets to December 31. The event will benefit the Stollery Children’s Hospital.

Festival of Trees 2011 is close

The 3rd annual Information and Volunteer Centre for Strathcona County's Festival of Trees will take place from November 18-20. It is a free event and will take place at the Strathcona County Community Centre in Sherwood Park. The Festival of Trees allows businesses and individuals to sponsor and decorate a Christmas tree.

Sherwood Park to feature Alberta Arts Days

The Arts and Culture Council of Strathcona County, located in Sherwood Park, has been chosen as one of the feature sites for Alberta Arts Days. In all, there are five feature sites and 64 host sites that will be taking part in this annual event from September 30 – October 2. The Arts and Culture Council website features a banner and poster available for printing for all 69 sites to use during those days.
