Workshop planned for potential Saskatoon entrepreneurs

Saskatoon residents who are considering making the leap into entrepreneurship may wish to mark their calendars for an upcoming special event.

Square One, which is a business resource centre located in the city, will be hosting a seminar that can help people to decide if starting their own company is right for them, and if it is, what steps to take to achieve success.

The eveny will cover a variety of topics, including how to conduct market research, the steps in developing a sound business plan, how to structure a business and register it, what licenses and permits might be required, and also what tax regulations need to be followed. An area printer can supply startups with an assortment of materials, including personalized business forms that can help their new company to hit the ground running and get off to a great beginning.

The organizers of this function noted that it is being offered free of charge, and it runs for about an hour. The number of spaces available in the seminar is limited so anyone who wants to participate has been advised to sign up early.

This short workshop has been planned for August 15, and it will start at 4:30 pm. Anyone who is interested in finding out more can do so on the Square One Facebook page.
