Windsor to host a dog day

June 6, 2017 by

Windsor residents will soon be offered the opportunity to get Fido or Fluffy all cleaned up and ready for the summer while doing a good turn for local animals in need.

For just $10.00, those who attend will be able to have their pet hand washed and briskly dried with a soft and fluffy towel by the volunteers who will be on hand for the day. While they wait for their dog’s turn, there will be popcorn and grilled food on offer to help maximize the impact of the day. Pet parents can come out and mingle with others while they chat, relax and enjoy the sunny weather.

The money raised from this event will be used to help fund initiatives from the Second Chance Animal Rescue’s projects throughout the community that help give unwanted, abused and abandoned animals a second chance. Flyers that promote an activity such as this can be posted throughout the community to ensure that it is as successful as possible.

The day will be dedicated to lending support to people’s furry friends and it will be held at 4126 Walker Road on June 17th starting at 11:00 am. Additional details, as well as information about how to contribute to the organization in other ways, can be found on the Windsorite website of community event listings.
