Whitby to swing its doors wide open to the public

Doors Open is an annual event that gives members of the public an opportunity to get see the interiors of local buildings that are otherwise closed to most visitors, and Whitby will be joining communities all across North America that are taking apart in this initiative.

Both Brooklin and Whitby will be participating, and there will be no fee charged for the public take part in the day’s activities. The goal is to allow people to get a better understanding of how their community operates and also to draw visitors to the area and showcase all that it has to offer. A printer can supply pop up banners and other promotional materials that can be displayed by the businesses, organizations and others that will be included in the event.

The organizers of Doors Open are interested in hearing from any property owners, businesses or organizations that are considering taking part in the day. The event will take place in Whitby and Brooklin on May 6, and it will run from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. More information can be found by visiting the community’s website.
