Vendors sought for Richmond Hill farmers’ market

Summer is on the way, and in Richmond Hill, that means the local farmers’ market will soon be back and open for business.

In an effort to ensure that this year’s markets have plenty to offer the public, the town has put out a call for vendors who may be interested in setting up a table, stand or other display. The organizers are looking for growers of fruit and produce in the local area, as well as those who produce other naturally sourced goods such as honey, handmade arts and crafts, soaps, and cut flowers.

Along with the vendors, each market will include an assortment of activities and entertainment to further draw in members of the public and create a fun experience for all. To help make the application process for the market as efficient as possible, the town has produced an assortment of applications, liability certificates and other business forms for those who will be participating. A printer can supply branded packaging supplies to those who will be setting up a table or stand during this weekly function

The 2017 season for the Richmond Hill farmers’ market will kick off on June 18, and it will run until October 1. It takes place on Sundays in the Elgin Barrow Arena, and further details can be found on the community’s website.
