Vaughn families invited to outdoor fun day

Families in Vaughan are invited to celebrate the Family Day weekend by having some fun in the great outdoors.

The Kortright Centre for Conservation will be hosting a day of activities that offers activities for people of all ages. Visitors to the facility can try their hand at kick-sledding or lace on a pair of snowshoes and take to the trails. There will also be a nature hike, family-friendly games, an opportunity to create nature-themed craft and much more. A printer can be called upon to provide signs that can be used to mark the route of the self-guided trail for an event like this.

When it’s time to take a break and warm up, those who come out can enjoy a steaming mug of hot chocolate while they socialize around a roaring bonfire. The cost for all of these activities is included in the regular admission price for the facility, which is $6.50 for adults and $5.50 for seniors. There is no charge for those ages 15 and under, and since much of the day will take place outdoors, people who plan on participating are reminded to come dressed for the weather and ready to have fun.

This Family Fun Day will take place in Woodbridge’s Kortright Centre for Conservation, which is located at 9550 Pine Valley Drive. It’s been scheduled for February 18th, and anyone who would like to find out more is invited to visit the Kortright Centre’s website.
