Vaughan to show environment some love

June 15, 2017 by

Vaughan has shown that it is a community that cares about the environment, and during its upcoming Environmental Days, the public will have a chance to do the Earth a good turn.

An assortment of activities has been planned for the month, and residents are invited to take part in those that interest them. There will be a giveaway of mulch, with each person being eligible to take home three bags. There will be information provided about Green Directions Vaughan, which is the city’s sustainability initiative as well as tips for what people can do at home to make a difference.

People can drop off their unwanted electronics and clothing for recycling, and they will also be able to find out steps they can take to protect the area’s water supply. An area printing company can be called upon to provide logo design and other print services to the organizers of an event such as this.

All of this will be taking place at the Al Palladini Community Centre, at 9201 Islington Avenue on June 24th. Admission is free of charge, and it will be held rain or shine. All ages are welcome, and more information about both the event and what the community’s residents can do to do the Earth a good turn can be found by visiting the city’s website.
