The Main Street Business Improvement District in Dartmouth holds networking meetings monthly in the downtown area. While membership is only open to those stores located in the Business Improvement District, anyone can attend the meetings. Those companies in the area who specialize in business card printing will be busy supplying those who plan to attend these meetings with their product.

Business Connects @ Main Street networking meetings take place on the third Wednesday of every month from 8:30 until 9: 30 am; a different member company takes turns in hosting the event. Holding the event in their own business gives owners and managers the chance to showcase their business to all those in attendance. There is a chance for other members and non-members to network with one another and to hand out business cards.

Networking is a necessity if you want your business to succeed and to grow. Those you meet at network meetings have access to people that you don’t have access to. If they have your business card there is a chance that if someone asks them if they know of such a service that they will mention you and pass your contact information onto them. Nothing takes the place of face-to-face networking; if they remember talking to you they are more likely to recommend you to others.
