Upcoming festival promises family fun

The Family Fun Day festival is taking place next month in Coquitlam, and is expected to draw over 1,000 visitors.

The event is set to offer plenty of activities for the entire family. There will be food for purchase, raffles, and family-friendly games. There will also be live music and entertainment from Bobs and LoLo. In addition, the Vancouver Tumblebus will be visiting, as well as a local fire truck.

For the children, arts and crafts activities and face painting will keep them occupied.

Vendors representing small community businesses will be on hand to sell their products or to showcase their services, which will also likely include local artisans who will be selling their homemade items such as handmade jewelry and ceramics. Organizers will be accepting applications from vendors until next Tuesday, April 18. Fees are $50 for a 10 x 10 space, a six-foot table and two chairs; tents must be provided by the vendor.

It is likely that many of the participating vendors will be investing in sign or banner printing services from their favorite Coquitlam printing companies in order to get more attention from visitors.

Family Fun Day will be held at the Place Maillardville Community Centre on May 27 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Admission is free of charge. For more information, or to become a vendor, contact Melissa Bizier at 604-933-6166.
