November 27, 2011 by Chloe
Canada’s largest grocer, Loblaw Companies Limited has decided to give Canadians more of what they are looking for- healthy living content magazines, all while promoting their own in house brands. Transcontinental Media will provide multiplatform content that includes six printed magazines per year, as well as a variety of other press releases and weekly e-newsletters. The magazine will be entitled Juice and will be aimed at grocery consumers and household decision-makers, mainly women.
The magazine alone is expended to circulate with over 400,000 copies with content that inspires healthy eating and healthy lifestyle goals. The printed magazine is the powerful focal point of the multiplatform media campaign. An important goal of the publication will link the role that grocery store and available food choices sold there and healthy living.
In the words of Lynn Chambers, publisher of Transcontinental Media in the Mississauga/
Toronto area, “this will link a mass advertising campaign to in-store experience.” In addition to providing shoppers and readers with healthy advice, the magazine will act like a
catalog printing of the Loblaw Companies brands by centering recipes and advices on healthy found choices found in the supermarket.
The publication Juice is a wonderful way for print companies to partner up with companies both big and small to fulfill an important informational need by providing high quality and accurate content while introducing a dynamic media brand also aimed at marketing a company and its products. Printers can become involving in long term marketing strategies and business partnerships in a wide variety of ways.
Transcontinental is the fourth largest printed media group in Canada.
