November 20, 2016 by

Christmas in the Village is taking place next month in Wortley Village of Old South London.

Various activities will be taking place all over the village. Visitors can walk to all of the events or they can ride the Christmas Bus. There will be carol singing onboard and it will stop at all of the different activities.

The day will start off with Breakfast with Santa at the Landon Public Library. Tickets are $2 each and it will run from 9:00 to 11:30 AM. There will also be lots of activities at the library, including live entertainment, crafts, and StoryPlay with Kate.

There will be a Christmas Bazaar at Wesley Knox Church and Winter Wonderland hosted by Solla Sollew. Visitors can compete in the Amazing Christmas Race. Participants decode riddles, find ‘Uzzles’ and drop them in a ballot box for the chance to win a prize.

Other activities are set to include the lighting of the tree with a performance by the Preschool of the Arts, Children’s Choir, free hot chocolate, and tree sales from the Old South Community Organization.

Each venue may have banners or signage that was provided by a London printing company to let people know where to go.

Christmas in the Village will take place on Saturday, December 3 in Wortley Village, beginning at 9:00 AM. Call 519-200-5496 for more information.
