Tips for small businesses

The Management Development Centre is presenting a free seminar entitled Five Common Traps for Small Businesses to Avoid. This seminar will take place on September 20 from 5:30 pm until 7 pm at the Regent Theatre in Oshawa. Small business owners in nearby Pickering would be smart to make time to attend this event; they just need to make sure they arrange for extra business card printing as this event will also give them a chance to network with other business owners.
The seminar will be presented by Morden Shapiro, an instructor with the Management Development Centre. Mr. Shapiro is an accountant and he is also the director of the University of Ontario Institute of Technology’s MDC Certificate Program. It is recommended that all business owners, managers, entrepreneurs and those planning on starting their own business plan to attend.
At the seminar, small business owners and others will learn practical techniques for sustaining their business. By learning the traps that must be avoided, business owners can save themselves a lot of trouble. By learning what others have experienced, they will know what not to do.
Networking will be a big part of this event and there will be time to mingle and share your stories with others in attendance. One of the best ways that a business can guarantee its success is by hearing about the experiences of others. In addition, networking will help you to expand your referral circle and will guarantee that your chances for bringing new business in are maximized.
