Time to bike for heart health in Timmins

April 23, 2017 by

The Heart and Stroke Foundation’s Big Bike will soon be rolling in to Timmins, and people from throughout the city are encouraged to form a team with their friends and co-workers and ride to help fund research into heart disease and stroke.

The Big Bike gives people an opportunity to pedal through the streets of town and have a good time while helping to fund those who are searching for new treatments and even a cure for cardiovascular disease. They will also be utilized in funding community-based programs that encourage people to make healthy life choices. The vehicle can hold up to 20 riders at one time, and the goal for the day is primarily to have fun. Wide format printing can be utilized by the organizers of an event like this to produce banners and other items that can help to promote the event.

In an effort to encourage the public to participate, the Heart and Stroke Foundation will be offering different prizes as a way of saying thank you. Branded baseball caps and cards are just some of the awards that will be available.

The Big Bike will be arriving in Timmins and ready for riders on May 9, and anyone who would like additional details, or to register their time to participate, is invited to do so through the organizer’s website.
