Teen academic skills workshop to be held in Oakville

Teens from Oakville who are interested in increasing their chances for academic success are invited to attend and upcoming seminar that will give them a set of tools they can use to help them in school and beyond.

The Organization and Planning Workshop for Academic Excellence will provide participants with hands-on experience in such areas as schedule planning, improving communication with their parents and educators, how to assess an assignment and work out a strategies for completing it correctly and punctually, and some overall time management skills. According to the organizers, these abilities can be used in school and also in the workplace. A printer can produce calendars and other organizational items that can help those who attend a training session like this to apply what they learned to their daily lives.

The event has been organized by Fresh Careers, which is a company that helps prepare high school students for their future academic life and subsequent careers.

The seminar will be held in the Glen Abbey Library, which is located at 1415 Third Line in Oakville. It will run from 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm, and tickets have been priced at $59 per person.
