Take part in the human bonspiel

The Calgary Corporate Challenge Human Bonspiel will take place from January 24-February 23 at Olympic Plaza. Fees to take part are $150 for each team of four.

Olympic Plaza will be converted into a human curling rink for the bonspiel. Players riding on inflatable will become curling rocks in this fun charity event. Each team of four is allowed three slides per person and whichever team gets closest to the target (or button) the most times wins. Those taking part in the bonspiel will receive a winter give-away and there will be free hot chocolate for all.

The Calgary Corporate Challenge holds several events throughout the year with proceeding going to charity. Among the charities the organization supports are Canadian Blood Services, the Calgary Food Bank and KidSportTM. Proceeds from the Human Bonspiel will be going to KidSportTM.

This is an excellent event for charity but it can also be a team building exercise for your business. Forming a team, or two, to compete in the Human Bonspiel gives your employees a purpose and a chance to work together to solve a problem and accomplish a goal. Calgary companies wanting to form teams can put together an informational poster; printing it out and posting it in high traffic areas will let your employees know about this fun competition. Teambuilding exercises such as this build morale and happy employees are more productive employees.
