Surrey seeking seniors

The city of Surrey has organized its first ever Active Aging Resource Fair, and older adults from all over the area are invited to stop by and check out all it has to offer them.

Local businesses, organizations and other community-based resources that support healthy and active lifestyles for seniors will all come together under one roof for the event. There will also be interactive resource booths where those who come out can connect with others and become more engaged in what the city has to offer.

Attendees will be able to find out more about a variety of topics such as nutrition, fitness, travel and other health-related issues. Throughout the day, there will be live entertainment and an assortment of presentations by experts in the field of healthy living. At lunchtime, an onsite café will be serving coffee, drinks and light meals. In addition to all of this, there will be drawings for door prizes throughout the day. Companies and organizations that will be setting up a display during an event like this can use wide format printing to craft signage, posters and other promotional materials for their booth or table.

The Active Aging Resource Fair has been scheduled for the Guildford Recreation Centre on March 25th, starting at 9:00 am. It will run until 3:00 pm, and all older adults from the community are welcome. Further details can be obtained by visiting Surrey’s website.
