Small business owners in Lethbridge, AB and other smaller communities in Alberta should take advantage of Canada’s strong currency during this period and strive to expand their businesses. A BMO survey conducted by Leger Marketing revealed on Thursday that 30% of Albertan small business owners, including printing companies, are more likely than other Canadian counterparts to take advantage of the above parity position of the current dollar. The national average polled across Canada was 20%.

However, the study also concluded that Albertan business owners are also less likely to upgrade processes and machinery, compared to other small businesses across Canada.

The current parity with the U.S. dollar makes it a favorable time for small business owners and printing companies in communities like Lethbridge, AB to purchase supplies and machinery needed to provide printing services from the global market in order to enhance their business and meet the changing needs of consumers. The strong loonie might also be a good time to increase the number of staff involved in business operations, something Alberta’s small businesses were less likely to do compared to other Canadian business owners.

Printing companies in communities like Lethbridge, AB and elsewhere who desire to expand their businesses should not neglect the importance of additional marketing to promote expanding and upgraded printing services. Extensive networking through leaflet printing and business card printing puts printing companies in touch with potential companies in Lethbridge, AB and beyond, while providing clients with samples of the printing company‘s services.
