The Dartmouth/Halifax area will be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with several events.

The first event planned is the 25th annual St. Patrick’s Day Ceili on March 11, beginning at 6:00 pm. It will take place at the Canadian Martyrs Church Hall. Guests will enjoy dining and dancing to Irish music. Tickets for last year’s dinner cost $20 for adults and $5 for children. Call 902-266-2072 to learn more about this year’s event.

The Charitable Irish Society of Halifax is also holding two events to celebrate the holiday. The 10th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade is taking place on March 12 beginning at 1:00 pm. The parade will begin at Terminal Road, travel along Lower Water Street and end up at the Lower Deck Waterfront, where there will be an after-party. Spaces are still available to participate in the parade, with business entries costing $50.

Lastly, on March 17, the Festival of St. Patrick’s Dinner is being held at the Halifax Marriott Harborfront starting at 6:00 pm. It will start off with a cocktail reception and be followed by a sit-down dinner.

To help advertise events that will attract people from all over Dartmouth and Halifax, local print companies are often asked provide flyers or brochures.
