St. Catherine’s residents invited to actively ring in the New Year

December 28, 2016 by

This New Year’s Eve, families in St. Catherine’s will have an opportunity to greet 2017 and engage in family physical activity at the same time.

Seymour Hannah Sports and Entertainment Complex will be hosting a free family skate, complete with music played by a DJ, crafts, coloring, and other activities for the kids, party favours and even a mock countdown, where the partygoers will be making a special toast at 1:00 pm.

For those who prefer to spend time in the water, the St. Catharine’s Kiwanis Aquatics Centre will be holding a family swim. As with the skating, there will be music supplied by a DJ who will be taking requests. The kids can enjoy activities at the coloring table, which will be set up in the facility’s lobby, and there will also be party favours for all of the guests. There will be no admission fee charged to enter. A print company can be called upon to produce banners, decorations, favours and more for events such as these.

Both of the special New Year’s Eve events will take place on December 31, with the skating stating at 11:00 am and running until 1:00 pm, and the swimming beginning at 12:00 pm and lasting until 2:00 pm. The regular supervision and admission requirements will apply, and further details can be found on the St. Catherine’s website.
