Special photo day for pets planned for Mississauga

November 25, 2016 by

For many people in Mississauga, the pet is a member of the family. This holiday season, an event will give them an opportunity to get in on the fun.

With the help of the help of Friends of Museums of Mississauga, families will have an opportunity to have their photos taken with Santa with the furry, feathery, or scaly member included. There will also be a chance for Fluffy or Fido to have their holiday photos taken on their own.

Two different portrait packages are available, and the proceeds from the afternoon’s activities will be used by the Mississauga Animal Services Special Care and Resources Fund (S.C.A.R.F.) to help meet the costs of its work. Digital printing can be used to provide high-quality copies of the photos taken during an event such as this.

The S.C.A.R.F. provides support for the animals that, either due to abandonment or rescue, are under the care of Mississauga Animal Services. Monies collected during the photography sessions will go towards things like shelter improvements, veterinary care, community education, and long-term animal care goals for the organization.

Paws n’ Mr. Claus, as the event is called, will be held on Saturday, December 3 from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Bradley Museum. The photos start at $15 each and $25 for two. More information about the activity can be found on the Mississauga website.
